PUBLIC WORKS CLERK

The St. Martin Parish Government is seeking applications for the position of “Public Works Clerk.” The position will be part of the Public Works Department and will work under the direction of the Parish’s public works supervisor to provide administrative and clerical support. The responsibilities will include coordinating the department’s records and communications functions. Such matters embrace the handling of e-mail, telephonic, and web submissions, assisting in the department’s purchasing activities, and data entry in a management system.

The position requires experience and training in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to prepare and publish social media posts, and general computer skills. Salary is negotiable but includes health insurance, paid annual and sick leave, and holidays.
